The AFL Victoria Representative Football Competition is a development series for the best available players within each of the Metropolitan Leagues with junior competitions.
The Development Series form part of the Talented Player Pathway and many of the best AFL players have made their mark on this Series.
In the initial year of the Championships, leagues have been fixtured against each other in a manner which will assist in the official ranking of leagues for the following year and beyond.
The opportunity to play senior representative football has been enjoyed by Victorians for many years, while metropolitan leagues have welcomed the return of representative football as part of the Metropolitan Championships since 2014.

Initiated in 2015, the SFNL’s commitment to the Netball Interleague program paid dividends in May after our Under 19 girls broke through to claim the League’s first representative netball trophy. Led by captain and best on court medallist Mia McMillan, the SFNL thoroughly outclassed Ellinbank & District Netball Association, winning 51 to 36 and getting the Interleague day, hosted by the SFNL out at Lyndhurst, off to the best possible start.

The SFNL's best footballers and netballers will showcase their elite talents in interleague action.

Saturday sees the Senior Men's and Under 19 football sides, and Senior and Under 19 Netball teams take on the Riddell District Football Netball League in a massive day of interleague action at Romsey Recreation Reserve.

The SFNL Women's footballers will also have their first taste of interleague action as they host the powerful South Eastern Women's Football team in a historic clash at RSEA Park on Sunday.
