Round 3 Review

Bentleigh’s winless start to the season continued after a narrow 25 points loss to Clayton at Meade Reserve.

Accuracy in front of goal kept the Demons in the contest with only nine points separating the two sides at half time, however as the rain came straight after the main break the match turned into a scrap as Bentleigh slowly lost contact with Clayton.

The forward line functioned well with Morrison brothers accurate in front of goal, while Dean ‘Pup’ Crozier played his best game for the club.

While the results haven’t gone Bentleigh’s way so far, we have unearthed some great young players in Troutbeck, Walker and Blow and with Lawry, L.Crozier and Lawford due back soon our first win is just around the corner.

The reserves suffered their second loss in as many weeks as they were outplayed by a determined Clayton side.

Despite kicking the first three goals of the game, Bentleigh ended the first half thirteen points down. A margin they were unable to turn around.

Galileos and Delaney put their hand up for senior selection with strong four quarter performances.
