Paul Dimattina announced as new Bentleigh FC coach

At last nights Annual General Meeting, ex-Footscray/Western Bulldogs player Paul Dimattina was offically announced as Bentleigh’s senior coach for 2015.

Dimattina, 39, brings a wealth of experience and will provide a fresh outlook for the young playing group going forward.

His playing CV spans back to Richmond under 19′s, playing under Peter Schwab and he has also been coached by Trevor Barker in his time at Sandringham, and Allan Joyce, Terry, Wallace and Peter Rohde during his 131 games for the Bulldogs.

After an eight year break, Dimattina made a playing comeback at Airport West in 2014, playing under former Bulldogs teammate Adam Contessa.

Ryan Fishlock will continue on as backline coach and opposition analyst while Chris Collins has also joined as a playing assistant coach.

Dimattina replaces Brad Canavan who led Bentleigh to the division 2 premiership in 2013 and seven wins in division 1 in 2014. We would like to thank Brad for his strong contribution over the past two years and unreservedly which him luck in the future.

Congratulations to Brett Marshall who has been re-appointed as reserves coach for 2015, and to Robert Lawford who will take the reigns of our all conquering under 19′s side.
