Men's football wrap up | Round 7

Senior Men’s Football

Bentleigh (14.15.99) Vs. Mordialloc (06.10.46) | Bentleigh Reserve

A Great day for the club with all men’s teams getting a win. Our senior team were far too good with a solid four quarter effort against Mordialloc notching up an all important 53 point win. In the end 29 scoring shots to 16 told the tale of the our dominance on a day that under 19 Daniel Tinginis played his first game. Our challenge will be to continue this momentum over the next couple of weeks to remain in touch at the half way mark of the season. Ben Taberner also made his senior debut.

Development Men’s Football

Bentleigh (11.07.73) Vs. Mordialloc (09.05.59) | Bentleigh Reserve

After a few frustrating weeks the boys were able to get a win they thoroughly deserved. Close for most of the match, we were able to wrestle back the momentum late and put ourselves in a position to win the game. Some smart football in the last qtr saw us control the play and allowed us to finally sing the song again. Ben De Nardis was brilliant and the most dominant player on the field in the ruck and across half back. Snorta and Woosh kept their form up and our acting captain Sam Ruddy showed his leadership with a solid performance too! We must take that momentum into Highett this week and make sure we earn another 4 points to keep ourselves in the mix coming up to the half way point of the season.

Under Nineteens Red

Bentleigh (13.07.85) Vs. St.Kilda City (03.04.22) | Bentleigh Reserve

A very pleasing 4 qtr game. Our offence started from the disciplined, structured set up of our backline who controlled the game behind the ball all day. Our pressure around the footy against a strong bodied opposition was really good.

Under Nineteens Blue

Bentleigh (06.15.51) Vs. Murrumbeena (00.03.03) | Bentleigh Reserve

Back on the winner lists this week! As the game progressed, our execution of the game plan got better and better. Each player contributed to the win which was the best part. Sadly our kicking in front of the big sticks let us down but nonetheless it was a great result.
