Men's Football wrap up | Round 4

Senior Men’s Football

Bentleigh (10.13.73) Vs. Dingley (07.14.56) | Bentleigh Reserve

Nothing better than enjoying the night after a seniors win against reigning triple premiers “Dingley”.

The Dingoes were quickly on the back foot with the Bentleigh continuous pressure and attack on the ball carrier and scoreboard. Sam Lewin and Luke Nankervis were the stand out performers however this was a true team effort with each player contributing .

Great win also by both 19s sides and whilst a tough day for the development team, I’m sure we will be better placed with many players returning next week.

With The confidence, the buz and the belief in each other and back on our home turf again next week our boys should be excited about the challenge against a strong listed Port Colts outfit.

Development Men’s Football

Bentleigh (03.02.20) Vs. Dingley (14.14.98) | Bentleigh Reserve

A tough day out for the development team against the competitions benchmark. The boys jumped the Dingoes early with the first 2 goals of the game but after quarter time we were taught a lesson, losing 98-20.

With some key players out it was a brave display with some good signs from our young players. Sam Ruddy led the back six who were under the pump all day but fought out every minute. Jacko Byrnes was a stand out along side Kyle Monoghan, who continues to get it done in the middle.

Fair effort from all involved we look forward to making up for it next week!

Under Nineteens Red

Bentleigh (09.19.73) Vs. Dingley (08.02.50) | Bentleigh Reserve

After a blitzing start with our run, carry and spread around the ball, our wayward kicking in front of goal and into the fwd 50 meant we couldn't put the foot down. Plenty of areas for improvement but was very pleased with how the boys responded in the final quarter both structurally and with their contested footy to come away with a win. 28 scoring shots to 10, 9.19 means we have a lot of work to do in front of the big sticks!

Under Nineteens Blue

Bentleigh (13.13.91) Vs. Endeavour Hills (04.06.30) | Bentleigh Reserve

Coming strong out of the blocks, we put our foot down early against Endeavour Hills and never looked back. A strong performance that solidifies our belief that we will be a legitimate premiership contender in Division 2. Great performances by Foot and Helmore in defence, Hall in the guts and Kobe up forward snagging 4 goals.
