The Bentleigh Football Netball Club and Cheltenham Football Netball Club take turns hosting ANZAC Day as the two clubs battle it out for the bentleigh & Cheltenham/Moorabbin RSL Cup.
The ANZAC Day match between the two club pays tribute to the sacrifice of the servicemen and women of Australia and celebrates the ANZAC spirit - courage, sacrifice, endurance and mateship. Official Anzac Day formalities will accompany the action on the field.
There are a lot of similarities between football and the diggers that have fought for our country.
Mateship meaning equality, loyalty and friendship.
Camaraderie meaning trust and a bond created by a shared experience.
The game is played in fantastic spirit and while both teams represent their clubs well. The Two clubs extend an invitation for all to come down to the match for a fantastic day out for the whole family!
