A letter from our President
Dear proud partners and members...
I hope this letter finds you well and you are managing well with the latest Victorian lockdown. As a business owner I totally understand the challenges, angst and uncertainty associated with the pressures placed upon us during this period. For some businesses things remain close to normal, others it affects moderately and for some it is catastrophic. I urge all existing proud partners BFNC and Dragon Club members, if possible, to support each other and network with each other in difficult times and I list all our club partners below for reference.

I would also like to acknowledge all the Premiership Club members as well and thank them for their support of our great club. Please if any person or business is requiring services or support from any business as displayed above, I ask you consider networking amongst yourselves or at least give each other the opportunity. On the football side of things, it is pretty much closed shop at present however the committee and coterie group are still busy behind the scenes trying to put the jigsaw puzzle together for the remainder of the season and continue to plan for the long-term sustainability of our sporting club. Obviously, our trading operations will be heavily hit and as a club will take a huge hit with no games for Round 8 and 9, hopefully we will be back for round 10. Our next major function is the red and blue cocktail night on Saturday the 26th of June at Bells Hotel, followed by the Grief Line lunch on Saturday 3rd July at the club rooms. At this stage it is highly likely these two functions will not proceed with restrictions sure to be enforced post lockdown. We will advise as soon as we can confirm. With two senior teams, two U19 teams, 5 netball teams and a women’s football team, we have over 180 team playing members eager to resume playing as soon as possible. I plead with all playing members to please continue after lockdown and to continue the momentum moving. We have so much we can still achieve this year and we are all in this together, and together we will overcome the challenge and hurdle that we have had to endure. To all players, coaches, support staff – Please remain positive and resilient as good times will return. To the BFNC Committee, Dragon Club Coterie group and members I thank you for your continued support and positive attitude. Once again to all our wonderful proud partners and Premiership Club members who have supported us to date, on behalf of the BFNC, Dragon Club Coterie group we cannot thank you enough. I wish you, your families and your businesses all the best during these uncertain times as we support each other to overcome this latest challenge. Take care, Paul Dimattina Bentleigh Football Netball Club President and Dragon Club Cotarian
