2021 Netball coaches announced

Olivia Scott, Rachael Saunders, Rika Hunt, Mikayla Ruddy and Steph Clegg

BFNC is proud to announce our coaching panel which continues to grow year on year, with 5 amazing netballers putting their hands up for the job this year.

Liv and Steph welcome Rach Saunders, Mikayla Ruddy and Rika Hunt to the team.

Rach and Mikayla didn’t get the chance last year although they were a big part of pre-season, didn’t get the opportunity to take a team under their wing. Rika is a retiree and huge loss to the court but massive gain for the coaching panel.

Bentleigh Football Netball Club has plans to enter 4 well rounded netball teams again for the 2021 season.

Our netball squad is made up of strong, determined women who are passionate about their netball and keen to be involved in their local community. We cater for all levels across our 4 teams and have warmly welcomed all new players to our squad.

We are very excited about the 2021 season and future seasons to come.

From Rika Hunt:

I’m excited to step into a new challenge with BFNC this year, by assisting and supporting not only my fellow coaches but the amazing women participating in the upcoming netball season. I hope to inspire the love of the game with some of the knowledge I’ve learnt over my many years of netball experience. I am a passionate and committed netballer, and look forward to supporting and guiding a team that will count down the days until the next game with me and BFNC each week!

From Rachael Saunders:

I am excited to get back into netball and BFNC in 2021. This year will be a big year for netball and cannot wait to coach and guide a team but also play and take the court as well. I am beyond grateful to be given this opportunity to coach and share my knowledge of the sport I love within the BFNC netball community and assist the amazing coaching team that we have this year. I hope that together we can continue to grow and thrive on and off the court.

From Mikayla Ruddy

After such a tough 2020 for so many, it’s so exciting to be getting back into netball. We have started off this season with so many new and old faces who are all very keen to get back on the court. It’s great to see our netball side continue to grow and develop and I’m very grateful to be helping out with such a wonderful group of people. Go dees.
